Age: Somewhere in the 4500 range. Appears to be in his late twenties / early thirties.
Gender/Sex: Male
Appearance: 6'6", tall, thin but well toned, long blond hair, blue eyes, carries himself regally. Pointy ears as per usual for Elves. His hair is typically straighter and a touch longer than it is in some of his icons, but hey, PBs.

History: Wiki 1 ,
Wiki 2Oropher was born just prior to the first age and raised in Doriath, mostly in Menegroth itself. He's a relative to Thingol, or at least somewhere on his family tree. (Supported in canon by hair color references.) Big events in his life are his marriage and the birth of his son (Thranduil), and he was present for both Sackings of Doriath - first by the Dwarves of Nogrod, then during the
Second Kinslaying, in which his wife was killed.
After Beleriand was destroyed, he spent some time in Lindon with other Sindar as refugees, but then chose to go east over the mountains, hoping to join some of his people with the Silvan Elves of the Greenwood. He became their king, built the fortress Amon Lanc. (Later taken over by Sauron and known as Dol Guldur) and spent most of the Second Age there, and moved upwards at one time towards the mountains. At the end of the Second Age, he took part in the Battle of Dagorlad, where he rushed into battle before the signal from Gil-galad was given, and was slain.
Personality: Oropher can be distrustful and stubborn, but this stems from a bitterness about events in his past. He's has a deep dislike of Dwarves and Noldorin Elves, as they have both attacked Doriath at different times, and he blames the Noldor in particular for his wife's death. For this reason he did not recognized Gil-galad as a commander in the Battle of Dagorlad, and did not work with him.
In theory he would like to live a "simple" and more "natural" life, more like the Silvan Elves who are considered a bit rustic - however having been born a Sindar it is hard for him to actually live this out. He's a king, and he enjoys the attention and admiration, though he still is aware of the weight of the crown and has a lot on his mind about the welfare of the kingdom.
At times he feels he has to work hard to prove the "legitimacy" of his kingship, and thus sometimes refuses the help of others, or listens to sound advice if his mind is already made up. He's also a fairly easy to provoke, and may rush into things. (Like battles. To his death.)
Abilities: Oropher is a Tolkien Elf, so he comes with some basic Elven gifts:
Elven Sight :: Enhanced Eyesight, See longer distances, and better in the dark.
Elven Hearing :: Enhanced Hearing.
Elven Agility/Lightfootedness :: Elves are more agile than humans, and have a cat-like grace. They leave very little imprint on the ground as they walk, and can easily walk over snow without sinking into it
Agelessness :: Elves do not age, due to immortality.
Immunity :: Elves "do not suffer sickness," They can, however, be poisoned or magically influenced to render them unwell.
Elven Stamina :: Elves have a greater stamina so that they can endure traveling long distance with little food or rest.
Elven Reverie :: They do not require traditional sleep, only a restful meditative state.
Elven Vitality :: Elves are "hard and resistant to hurt," so that they do not need as much clothing to protect themselves against the elements as humans. They also are quicker to heal from injury, and may survive injuries that would normally kill a human.
Elven supernatural senses :: Elves can sense when something decidedly evil or tainted is about - however they might not be able to pinpoint it.
Affinity for Nature/Animals :: The ability to commune with nature/animals in a supernatural/magical way.
Oropher also has skills in:
-Swordsmanship, duel wielding (including daggers/knives)
-Bowmanship, but it's not his preferred weapon
-Riding skills, (including bareback)
-Somewhat good commander and strategist
Just... that one thing...-Good public speaker and leader (He managed to get a bunch of Sindar to follow him into the woods, and convince the people there that he should be king.)
Inventory: Two identical swords, a circlet, and armor (armor is damaged on one side where he took a killing blow)
